Where do you want to go?Bangladesh

To Bangladesh and beyond

ToBangladesh.com is not a travel agency; it is a gateway, bridging the gap between you and the local service providers throughout the country. It is a concept, an initiative, infusing the combined resources of Grace Tours, based in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Interspeed Media, a Dhaka based advertising company.

Via this website you will not only be able to have an overview of available destinations within Bangladesh and different levels of accommodation, (on our website, you can choose from a wide variety of accommodations – homestay hideaways, heritage hotels & palaces, rural farms, beach villas, jungle lodges, spa retreats, and even tree-houses!), but you will also be able to contact locally based hotel owners and tour guides, ask questions, provide answers and buy travel products and services all in one place.

Ambrosia

Two features make Ambrosia a standout in terms of Dhaka accommodation. The first is the property itself: as the former guest residence of United Nations staffers, each of the property’s 12 rooms is unique and they all come in various sizes. There are two separate blocks with a grassy garden in between, making the guesthouse a true shelter from the intensity of Dhaka’s streets. Although Ambrosia doesn’t bill itself as ‘heritage’, it has that kind of feel based on the wooden finishes and colonial-style furnishings.

The other plus is Ambrosia’s location in Dhanmondi. The neighbourhood is the focal point of Dhaka’s cultural and arts events, and boasts more interesting local happenings and events than the Gulshan area. By staying here, visitors are much closer to the galleries, exhibitions and foreign cultural institutions like the Alliance Françoise, the German Goethe Institute and the British Council.

Business travellers, culture vultures, hip tourists and those who are in touch with Bangladesh’s intelligentsia and artistic ranks will definitely want to be located in the Dhanmondi area and would enjoy a stay at Ambrosia. The property’s old-world feel and colonial touches make it unique and much more intimate than the city’s cookie-cutter hotels.
